China WindPower Establishes Joint Venture with China Power Investment Corporation Subsidiary Baiyinhua,join Hands in China Wind Power Projects
2009-06-16On 15th June 2009, Century Concord Wind Power Investment Ltd. ("Century Concord WP"), an wholly-owned subsidiary of China WindPower Group Limited ("China WindPower" or the "Group") (stock code: 182), a specialist in wind power electricity generation in China, has signed an agreement with China Power Investment Baiyinhua (¡¸CPI Baiyinhua¡¹), a subsidiary of China Power Investment Corporation ("CPI"), to set up a Joint Venture ("JV') to undertake wind farm projects in the country. Pursuant to the agreement, Century Concord WP and CPI Baiyinhua shall respectively hold 49% and 51% of the equity in the JV.The Group's strengths include its services in wind power engineering, procurement and construction, manufacturing of wind tower tubes, wind power facilities design and maintenance, and its abundant wind resources reserves. Besides, CPI as a stated-owned enterprise provides the geographical advantages.
